What this means
The compressor motor protection has operated at start-up. Possible causes: a compressor problem, water in the hot-water heater that is too cold after a long stop or a very large hot-water draw, or a sensor or motor-start fault. On the IVT 495 TWIN the display reads "Motorskydd uppstart, Fasfel?" and the phase sequence may have been swapped by recent electrical work.
When to call a technician
This fault involves refrigerant, pressure, or electrical work that must be handled by a certified technician under EU F-gas rules. Do not attempt to open the refrigerant circuit, access mains wiring, or adjust pressure components yourself. Contact a qualified installer or servicer for this one.
