What this means
The heat pump is temporarily defrosting the outdoor unit. This is normal operation and can stop indoor heating for up to 15 minutes.
What you can check yourself
- Wait for defrost to finish; do not interrupt the operation.
- Keep the outdoor unit clear of objects and snow without touching the unit during operation.
